The majority of my work is functional.

Pottery is a wonderful creative medium, in that the art I make has a specific purpose. I am intrigued by the interaction between people and the objects they use often, and I enjoy making these small moments more meaningful through the use of handmade pottery. I have a simple aesthetic, my work is not complicated or dressed up, merely attractive in a useable way. My minimalist decoration techniques allow my work to enhance the beauty of the food, which is the beginning and the end of this creative cycle. I am inspired by food, drink, a use, a meal, and translate that to a vessel. Making those vessels beautiful, and a joy to use, is my goal as a potter.
