Form

These sculptural pieces are pure creative fun for me. Since they represent a departure from the constraints of useful objects...

... they allow me to explore a different avenue of expression, using pure form and color. They are a way to experiment, and play with different properties of the clay. I often love my pieces most in their raw, “greenware” form, so these pieces are left mostly unglazed. I use gorgeous porcelains or dark, iron-rich clays, that stand alone easily.

My augmentations are spontaneous: intense colors or textures, contrast of materials, freedom of application. In addition to the unstoppable creative urge, my ultimate desire is that the viewer and the collector will enjoy them to the extent that I enjoy their creation.
